Burst — This pendant is inspired by a seed capsule the very moment it bursts open and releases its seeds.

The shape is originating from a sphere and separating into an inner and an outer shell towards the bottom.

It is imagined to be part of a series of different stages in an opening process. From almost closed to wide open, creating an array of shadow formations and degrees of light.

Prototyping (school project). The idea was to make a package of pencils where the packaging could be used for other purposes. The ruler is used to generate support for the back and the string is used for suspension if you want to hang the box on the wall.
